Chubby Cheeks and Cupcakes!! - A Birthday Party and Family Session

The Rutta Family,
He's 2!! That little guy is 2...already??! Joel's birthday brought a smile to my heart. He and my oldest son Wesley are just a few weeks apart in age, so when his birthday approaches, I know my little guy's is not too far off. Photographing this birthday party was a first for me, and I have to admit, I had a hard time focusing on the job at hand! My mind just wanted to go back to the day I first saw Joel. I remembered how it seemed that every time I saw him he was sleeping and I thought what a peaceful little fella he must have been. He has definitely discovered his high energy capacity! Capturing photos at the family photo location was VERY challenging, but we managed a few. I can't help but think what God can do with one that has so much energy to be used for Him. Truly it will be amazing!! Then there's little Lydia. Again - not too far off in age from my youngest son. Too cute and so content. Our children have much in common already and it became very obvious to me that editing these photos was going to tug at my heartstrings a bit, making me think of my own little ones, and it did. I invite you to enjoy some precious memories with the Rutta Family!

Thank you Rutta family for giving us a little glimpse into your happy home and busy lives! Enjoy your little ones for they grow too quickly!

Love and Laughter...and the Little One - Family Session in Roscommon, Michigan!

The Daron Family,
This family session was quite special for me. I had such a blast!! This couple celebrated their first anniversary while my husband and I and our two kids were in Michigan for a family vacation. I had the privilege of capturing a few photos for them while we were together. When we began our vacation, the weather in Michigan was in the 30's at night, and on the day of this shoot, it was a hot, humid, sticky, muggy mess. What a fun time we had though!! - and the little one... the chubby cheeks say it for you. How could you not just eat him up. Enjoy a little of the Daron Family!:)
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for the lovely time! David and Hannah, happy 1st anniversary and I wish you many more to come. Allen, keep smiling and keep making others smile! Until the next time Michigan comes a callin'...
